On May 17, 2018, in the International Day Against Homophobia, we signed an agreement on sponsoring of the Hotline for the Russian LGBT community, providing psychological, legal and other kinds of support.
Maskulo founder Bulat Barantaev, one of the first openly gays in Novosibirsk says: «We are a Russian company, which stands for equal rights for LGBT people. A part of our profit is donated to democracy and human rights organizations in Russia. Now we also donate to LGBT Hotline. We are proud that we can help people».
It is very difficult time for the representatives of the LGBT community in Russia now. The level of homophobia and transphobia is constantly growing, and cases of moral and physical violence often occur. In such circumstances, it is very important to receive free assistance and support timely, if necessary, anonymous. This is how the Hotline works. Any person who is in difficult circumstances can call.
The Russian LGBT network was founded, in April 2006. It is an interregional, non-governmental human rights organization. The Hotline is one of the Russian LGBT network’s projects. Hotline number: 8-800-555-73-74.
